Five things to consider when compiling your gift list
Compiling your wedding registry list?
Variety is the spice of life
Ensure there is plenty of variety in the type of items you choose. This allows your guests to feel that they are selecting something personal for you, from them.
The magic ratio
Think about the guest to gift ratio. You may of course choose as many items as you wish but it is sensible to have a wide enough choice without overwhelming your guests; we suggest, as an example, if you have 100 guests you should perhaps aim to have in the region of 70 items on your list.
What's your price range?
Consider the price range you want to encompass. We suggest a variety so that your guests feel comfortable with your list.
Ensure you know exactly how your list will be presented ie when do you receive the gifts; is there an extra charge for wrapping; is delivery free; can you swap items after they have been bought so that you can, for example, make up a set of china or glasses.
Think outside the box
Include some fun gifts you may not consider buying for yourself. Lasting gifts become memories of your special day - think of things that will add pleasure to the marital home for years to come.
